oxalis loricata
This is tightly furled, silvery-green leaves folden and packed together to make a tight cushion (in good light) below good sized flowers of palest blush or satin pink veined all over with hairlines of deeper purple, the centre of each flower tones to golden yellow.
The reverse of the flower, seen especially in bud, is deeper pink. As is normal with any wild species, both the base colour and the veining can vary in intensity and with a view toi getting nice forms these are seed-raised plants , totally unslected! If you like enneaphylla then you will like this one, if you do not know enneaphylla then this is an easy, attractive and none weedy species that will not disappoint with its prostrate growth crowded wuth flowers when happy.
Well drained, gritty, humus rich soil, drier in winter but not difficult, simply little-known.
